World Water Day 2016
From food and energy security to human and environmental health, billions of people and animals rely
on a usable supply of water every day. This Tuesday, March 22, celebrate World Water Day (WWD) with
us! Taking a couple of simple actions that day, with thousands of other organizations all over the world,
will bring attention to the many stresses on the world’s water resources.
Go #Blue4Water and share why water is important to you!
Last year, world leaders committed to 17 Global Goals end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and confront climate change by the year 2030. Global Goal 6 is dedicated to safe drinking water and sanitation, but nearly every Global Goal to fight poverty, inequality, and climate change is served by focused attention on water.
#Blue4Water asks people all over the world to post a photo of themselves wearing blue and use the hashtag #Blue4Water. Don’t have a blue article of clothing? That’s okay! Post a meaningful photo that shows why you care about clean water – a photo
of a water drop, a photo of your blue coffee mug, whatever! Go BLUE for World Water Day and show us why clean water is important to YOU! Read More >
