Shep Owen is an experienced leader of complex responses to poverty in rapidly changing contexts. Organizations he has worked with include Habitat for Humanity, UNWFP, and The Carter Center. Mr. Owen studied History at the University of Oklahoma and Public Policy and Management at London’s School of Oriental and African Studies. Currently the Senior Director of Partnerships with Food for the Hungry based in Washington DC, he works to develop strategic partnerships with corporations and foundations that leverage each partner’s impact for the poor. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Owen was the Africa Regional Director for FH Association responsible for operations in eight countries, 1600 staff and a budget of $65m. His technical experience includes strategic planning, resource development, project and financial management, monitoring and evaluation, and cross-sector partnerships.
