Chris Mzembe, East Africa Regional Director
Chris Mzembe joined MWA in January 2016 to direct the operation and development of MWA consortium programs in Ethiopia, Kenya, and other countries in the region, He brings more than 15 years of experience in program development, program management and advocacy in East and Southern Africa. Mr. Mzembe has held senior positions with the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (2014-2015), Save the Children Malawi (2008-2014), Plan Norway (2006-2008) and Plan Malawi (2001-2006). He has a diverse range of technical competencies in public health and sustainable natural resource management, water sanitation and hygiene as part of child survival programming, school health and nutrition, household food security, and community-based early childhood care and development. Mr. Mzembe has a Master of Science degree from Leeds Metropolitan University (UK), and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Malawi.
